Golden Globes - My top 10 best dressed

10:00

Instead of doing worst and best dressed, I thought I'd just keep it positive and go with the best dressed. Mainly because I feel bad saying worst dressed, but I also feel it's their choice and I usually don't agree with everyone's decisions on bad dresses as for example I hate velvet, so am more likely to say a velvet dress is bad due to my personal taste. Anyway! It's not about that. Here are my top 10 best dressed:

10. Emma Watson in Dior. This dress is a gorgeous colour but the main surprise is that although it looks formal and sweet in the front, it's full backless behind. I really like it and think she still kept it classy with the black bottoms. I think it was a good choice having no accessories aswell, as it meant all eyes could be on the dress.

9. Rashida Jones in Fausto Puglisi. I love the design on this dress. The gold looks gorgeous with the white, its not too over powering and all over the dress, the slit and belt are good at separating it and the design draws the eye up to her. The hair is great up and out of the way and again the lack of accessories is perfect as the dress has that added extra.
8. Amy Poelher in Stella McCartney. I think this dress is gorgeous. It's so flattering and the little key hole cut in the centre and the asymmetrical arms are so flattering. My favourite dress from her is the one for the opening however this is very sophisticated.
7. Michelle Dockery in Oscar De La Renta. I think if I was on a red carpet I'd like to be dressed in Oscar De La Renta at one point. I think the colour of this dress is lovely with her pale skin and the detail is gorgeous being small and not too bright. The shape of the dress is really nice to her petite frame aswell.
6. Mila Kunis in Gucci. Mila Kunis rarely ever goes wrong on the red carpet. She knows exactly what works for her and this dress is another example of that. The high neck and busy top works with her petite frame and slowly fades to a gorgeous shade of silver/grey. Her make up and hair is minimal and away from her face, paying attention to the busy dress. I think it's really nice.
5. Reese Witherspoon in Calvin Klein. This dress is gorgeous mainly for the colour. It's so bright and perfectly suits her blonde hair and complexion. I really love how it shows off her curves and even though she wasn't in any huge roles this year, she still managed to attract attention. I also love her hair with the new long bob.
4. Melissa Rauch in Romona Keveza. As much as I love Lena Denham, this is how to do a yellow dress right. The fabric is perfect, the wrapping detail shows off her gorgeous curves and I love the arms. Her hair is gorgeous and she looks so glamourous, again with the colour attracting attention, but in the right way.
3. Sosie Bacon in Rhea Costa. She was on stage as Miss Golden Globe and this dress shows why. She looks absolutely stunning! The detailing is gorgeous on the top half and hugs her gorgeous figure at the bottom. The colour is gorgeous against her brunette hair and tanned skin and I just love it.
2. Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren. This dress is gorgeous. The shoulder and cut out arms are stunning and because of the short hair and lack of accessories, it makes it look very elegant. The colour is stunning against her skin and her confidence in this dress was what made it for me, plus I love the cape design.
1. Margot Robbie in Gucci. Although it was all about the colours this year, this is my favourite dress of the night. It's so stunning against her complexion, her hair and make up is minimal and no fuss and the tiny slit in the dress makes it still look very classy. I love the embellished details around the waist and shoulders, and it really shows off her gorgeous figure. I'm in love with this dress!

So that is my top 10 and the last of my golden globe themed posts. I will be next doing a BAFTA post after the show and an Oscar predictions when they are announced.

Who was your best dressed of the golden globes?
