Perfect date night movies ready for Valentine's Day

If you aren't one for going out on Valentine's then below are my picks for perfect date night movies where you can snuggle under a blanket, light some candles and bring out the snacks.

Ghost
A romance with some action mixed in, Ghost is a great pick for date night. Starring the late Patrick Swayze and the stunning Demi Moore, this film is sad, sweet and an absolute classic. I'd highly recommend if you've never seen or if you are watching it for the 50th time.

The Big Sick
'Ohmygod Emma's mentioned the big sick on her blog again'. Yes I know, but it's the perfect date night movie, and plus the screenplay is nominated for an oscar. It's an amazing comedy and one for both you and your partner. Again, super sweet but not sickly down your throat with love. Plus it's a true story.

Notting Hill
This one is a little more sickly, however it's one of the ultimate british romantic comedies. Hugh Grant is his bumbling young self and Julia Roberts is so beautiful and funny. You can really bring out the popcorn with this one and cry along with 'after all, I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy...asking him to love her' 😭😭

Scott Pilgrim vs the world
If Notting Hill is a bit of a push, Scott Pilgrim will definitely be up your street. It's such a good and unique date night movie, we rewatched it recently and just forgot how brilliant it actually is. It's witty, well directed and just overall really cool.

What are your valentine's plans?
