Apologies for the photo quality, but I didn't have any natural night. Unlike what it looks like, I'm only going to the pub with my boyfriend and some friends, but I had too much time on my hands.

Revlon colour stay eyeliner

Blackout shadow by urban decay over the top.

Mascara is maybelline smokey eyes mascara

My first date night inspiration was for day dates, something like cinema with possible lunch/early dinner after, picnic, pub after a walk e.t.c. However this post is more for night and evening dates, for something where you might want more of a full face. For me, this is more about the eyes. Light foundation, maybe no blush but a bold smokey eye. My favourite is number 4, the purple smokey wing look which I am very tempted to try for this weekend.

Which look is your favourite?

My old purse was a small, yellow purse from Monsoon. I had it for over a year but for the past couple of months it had been slowly breaking, and had got to the point where my cards would fall through their section and the colour had lost it's spark. Overall, I needed a new purse before I lost any of my cards or money!

I am very loyal to my purses. Mainly because I am so picky when it comes to choosing one. I like to have different sections, for change but not too deep that I can't pick any out, and lots of card space as I am a big fan of the loyalty card and own a good share of the high street ones. Along with that, I like good money space for notes and usually more than one section so I can split it into £5, £10 and £20. So, it takes me a good month or two of looking around before I buy one that's just right.

Until I spotted this purse from Urban Outfitters when I went the other day. It's a black leather purse with a gold turtle on, which I love and has gold zips. It has two sections for change, so one section is now "usable" coins such as £1, 50p and the odd 20p, and the other has the smaller 10, 5, 2's and 1's along with receipts with vouchers/feedback on.

When you open it up you can see there is a lot of card space, still not enough for all of mine however I might soon invest in a different wallet/card holder item for them. It has lots of money space and still buttons up to be small enough to fit in a handbag. It was £22 which I would usually sort of pay for a purse as I am so picky. Overall I am really happy with this purchase.

Where is your purse from?

My boyfriend is classic when it comes to style. He likes to look smart and does have very good taste, I really enjoy shopping with him as he has a keen eye as to what suits himself and even myself!

However, if money was no option I'd definitely treat him to the ultimate male accessory this valentine's day. Unfortunately for him, it's only our first together so I can't justify this much at the moment, however it's definitely an investment and a gorgeous watch.

The watch I have picked out is the Hublot classic fusion at £5,900. It's a titanium watch, with a black rubber strap and sapphire crystal glass which is harder than glass or quartz windows so you can be free in mind of scratches. The titanium colour is absolutely gorgeous and looks so stylish. It'd eye catching and although I'm not a huge fan of silver on myself, against the black of the strap and the watch face it stands out. The rubber strap makes it comfortable against the wrist and adds a slight casual touch so it can be worn for events or even days out.

This watch and hundreds more for men and ladies can be found at thewatchgallery.com and this post is for a competition they are running along with EtailPR, however I love this watch and maybe for our 5th or 10th anniversary, then my boyfriend might be in luck!

Which would be your ultimate watch to purchase?

I guess this post should really be called 'date day' but that doesn't sound quite right. This weeks inspiration is all about dates with the boyfriend or love interest, but where you don't really need to dress up very much. For example, maybe a cinema trip with lunch after, a picnic in the park or day out in the city.

All of these looks I have picked are easy to maintain, so you won't need to keep topping up, and are simple glamour yet still eye catching. My personal favourites are the looks that keep everything else completely simple and natural, but then a pop of colour on the lips.

All of these looks were taken from pinterest and you can follow me here

Next weeks inspiration will again be on the date theme in preparation for valentine's day!

What are your favourite looks?

Apologies for the schedule mix up this week, but I'll instead also be posting thursday, friday and sunday this week. Regular posts will be next week! I just didn't see this film until Monday and I like to think about it instead of a review straight away.

The Wolf of Wall Street is based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, and his rise to wealthy stockbroker, and the fall after the federal government get suspicious of his lifestyle.

Overall, this film is brilliant. It's very well directed (by Scorsese of course), acted, and shot. However, when a film is based on a true story you can't really complain or dislike scenes as they actually happened. As much as this happened, if you don't like sex/nude or drug scenes, then this film probably isn't for you. It's got over 500 uses of the F word, if that counts for anything.

My main bad thing to say is it's too long. It's a 3 hour film and it definitely feels that way. The 3 hour version had been cut from a nearly 4 hour edit, which seems insane. I think even a 15 minute or 30 minute cut out would have made it a lot better and fit better with the pace of the film. The music and editing is fast and snappy, to go with the witty-ness of the film. There is also a couple of scenes that feel quite strange to the film, and out of place...but like I said it's difficult to review something if it actually happened.

My favourite part of the film was definitely the acting. Leonardo DiCaprio was amazing, very funny and witty but also charming although it's really not a person you are meant to like. Jonah Hill was a lot better than I was expecting (with those teeth) and Matthew McConaughey was comical despite having a smaller role than I thought as he's in most of the trailers. My favourite was definitely Jean DuJardin, he's so charismatic and sexy and his role was very good.

Overall, I really, really enjoyed the film however just wish it was 15 minutes or so shorter. I'm not sure oscar wise if it will win anything or not, even though I'd love for Leo to win one soon.

Have you seen this film yet? What did you think?
