Video: Evening Look GRWM

Hey everyone. There's a bit of exciting news today (for me, at least) in that I uploaded a youtube video. It's a quick video (just over 2 mins) so I'd really appreciate it if you could give it a quick watch.

The look is an evening date night. I did a darker eye than usual (it's probably not really that dark) and used 2 new products, one was the brow drama and the other was a colour tattoo.

I do hope you enjoy the video and I'll try to post another one soon.

Product Review: Bleach London Total Bleach Kit

A few months ago I bought the total bleach kit from boots, after having an ok experience with their semi-permanent colour and not being able to go to have my hair done professionally every 8 weeks or so.

The kit includes 2 sachets of bleaching powder, a small bottle of developing lotion, gloves, a small bowl and a mask to use after you've shampooed the hair. I would suggest possibly using a bigger bowl though as this one is quite small and can easily tip over if you aren't careful.

Perhaps a silly mistake, however in the months I had this in my room I lost the instruction leaflet, so didn't have that however we still tried it anyway as I was hating the way my roots looked and was just very good at chopping the top of my hair off in photos.

We left the product on my hair for 20 minutes, as the ends of my hair were still quite blond, and it was only really the roots that needed doing. I think next time we would leave it on for possibly 30-40 minutes (or whatever the instructions say!) as the roots came out a little darker than I wanted.

However, apart from the roots being a little ginger I am really happy with how it turned out. I don't think the mask was very good, however maybe I didn't use enough but I had to rewash my hair as after combing and drying it, it felt like straw. Luckily with a wash after it feels back to normal.

I would happily buy this product again (and probably will) as it's perfect for a cheaper alternative to going to the hairdressers. I'm sure with some more practise, I can get it looking exactly how I want but for now I'm just so glad my roots have gone!

Happy friday everyone! Today's FOTD comes from last saturday, when I smoked up the eyes a little bit and kept the lips nude. Unfortunately this is the only photo I have, however I really liked the look so will probably be doing it again in the future.

I later changed it to Revlon's balm in crush, purely because we were going to a bar and I wanted something darker.

Movie review: The Muppets Most Wanted

First off, I want to apologise for my lack of posts recently. I've been very busy and away from the computer and just not really had time to sit down and write anything. This should resume normally from now though! Thank you for sticking with me.

Another note, is that I'm a huge muppets fan. I was so incredibly happy when Jason Segel brought them back in an incredibly feel good movie. The Muppets most wanted, is about their world tour from the success of the first movie, when their manager Dominic Badguy (Ricky Gervais) hires theatres next to museums and banks in order to steal objects that lead to the crown jewels.

The movie is fantastic. It's genuinely hilarious and I've not laughed so much at a movie for ages (probably This is the end). There are so many cameos, some of which may go unnoticed they are so quick, however literally everyone in Hollywood turns up at some point and it's brilliantly done, and not in a "oh heres another one" way.

The music is also fantastic. I'm so glad they got Bret McKenzie back, as he wrote the music for the first movie and won the oscar for Man or a Muppet. The lyrics are so catchy and it's just a real laugh watching some of the cameos dancing along.

So, as you can see I absolutely love this movie. It's perfect for adults aswell as children (although I'd say adults may like it more!) and also you'll probably all be jealous of Miss Piggy's outfits, because they are fabulous.

The super affordable spot treatment.

Sudocrem is a thing of magic. It's been in my household my entire life, and I often remember my mum putting it on me if I had fallen and grazed my skin. However, it's only recently I discovered it's even more amazing than I thought.

So, a little bit of TMI however this month I've been getting a few spots. I never usually get spots before and it's only a rare one on my cheek, however these spots have been under the skin and quite sore. So, one day I put sudocrem on them, and within an hour it helped reduce the redness and they went down to nothing within a day or so.

I would recommend putting it on at night, as it leaves a white residue even after a lot of rubbing in. However, I just put a dot on each mark before I go to sleep, and in the morning it's so much better and clearer.

The best thing aswell is it's so cheap. You can buy the tube version for £1.99 (depending on size) and I bought this massive tub for about a fiver and I'm pretty sure I've got enough to last me a lifetime, I really don't know how I'll ever reach the bottom of the tub.

On my nails #3:

I honestly don't remember buying this, however when cleaning a cupboard in my house recently I found this and knew it would be perfect for stepping into spring. I am all about the nude nails at the minute, however this mint green nail colour is absolutely perfect and I will definitely get a lot of wear out of it for this summer.

The colour is a gorgeous mint colour, which has a glossy finish. I put the Revlon base coat on first, and applied this over the top. This is only one coat, which I thought was quite impressive seeing as it needed a good shake as it looked quite old. Topshop's packaging is always a favourite of mine, and from my experience with their other nail polishes, it should last me a good week or so before I'd need to re-do or top up if it chips.

The Empty Product: Nivea pure & natural soothing day cream

My first empty product since starting this blog. Well, that I haven't forgotten to take pictures and review before throwing away (oops!) I've decided than if, and when I finish a product, instead of saving them I will only review each once at at time, as lets face it, I don't have the space to keep jars and bottles until I've got enough to do a big post about it.

Anyway, I have completely finished up the Nivea pure and natural soothing day cream (£5.35) recently. I bought this product months ago, and have slowly been using it almost everyday as a moisturiser. It is a very nice product, and has definitely made my skin feel more healthy and moisturised over the winter months.

It contains 95% natural ingredients, such as chamomile and argan oil. I have sensitive, dry skin and did not break out from this product, however if I did get a spot, it didn't do that much to help it (I wasn't expecting it too). I cannot speak for the scent as I have no sense of smell, however from looking at other reviews on makeupalley there is a scent.

Overall, I did like this product and would repurchase this again, however I am currently trying different moisturisers to see what works better and that does more than just moisturise my skin. Yet, for the price it's definitely a good moisturiser.
